Kilangin Falls, Liliw, Laguna

Aside from their best tsinelas and sapatos na kasing tibay ng pagmumuka ng gago mong ex, Liliw, Laguna also offers one of the best waterfalls near the busy Metro perfect for soul searchers, duguang-puso, and barkada looking for a quick escapade.

It was Saturday morning when I left Sta. Rosa, Laguna to visit the little paradise. I was joined by my officemate Carlo Canindo who sent me a text saying that he will be a little late (dahil late nagising, nag-inom).

From the registration area, our tour guide, Kuya R-Jhay, lead us to the waterfalls. It took us about 30-45 minutes to get there. It was a very long and tiring walk. The road felt endless. Even if I have climbed several mountains already, this one was different. Basagan ng tuhod and laban para sa basag na puso.

I was stunned when we reached the falls. The freezing cold water was perfect under the scorching heat of the sun. I was told that the place was once home of the diwatas and engaktos. Since its summer, mahina ang bagsak ng water but during tag-ulan season daw, you will see the real beauty of Kilangin Falls.

Instead of chasing your pa-fall na hayop na ex, come visit this amazing falls. Ikaw ang ma-fa-fall sa ganda dito.

No tables, no comfort rooms, no trash bins. The place was really clean when we went there. To everyone visiting Kilangin Falls, please do your part and keep the place clean. We were told that Kilangin Falls was just opened to public six months ago.

We were supposed to leave at night but we were told that there's a very slim to zero chance of getting a jeepney going to Sta. Cruz, unless we'll rent a tricycle that will take us Php300.00 - Php350.00. With no ATMs around, we decided to spend the night. Dahil lasing na din kami, our tour guide's cousin, PJ, bought lambanog for us. More alak more fun! We stayed at his Tita's house. Lovely people of Majayjay treated us like friends. Nabigyan pa kami ng free food.

EPIC FAILS
- My Xperia Z1 phone died a few minutes after taking underwater shots. Ngayon, it is on dead state. Ayaw na mag on :( Parang status nyo ng ex mo...wala ng pag-asa kundi humanap na lang ng bago.
- My friend's device ran out of memory - wala din nakuhang pictures. Wag na pilitin pag hindi na kaya. Mabibigo ka lang.
- Our tourguide's phone's battery was at 8% when we got there. Nag-hihingalo na, parang yung status ng relationship nyo bago kayo mag break. We had few photos taken pero hindi dun sa falls. Still waiting for him to send me the pics. I'll upload them as soon as I have them.

GETTING THERE
- Ride any bus going to Sta. Cruz/Pagsanjan, Laguna. Ask the manong driver to drop you off sa GSIS sa Pagsanjan
- Sa likod ng Jollibee, there are jeeps going to Liliw, Laguna. Ask manong driver to drop you off sa Bayan ng Liliw. Fare is Php26.
- From Bayan ng Liliw, ride a tricycle and advise manong driver to take you to Kilangin Falls Registration Area (Baranggay Bukal). Kilangin Falls is also known as Bukal Falls. We paid Php50 each.
- Environmental/Entrance fee is Php20. Tourguide is Php300.
- Fare (tricycle) from Kilingan Falls going to Terminal going to Sta Cruz is Php18
- Terminal going to Sta Cruz (jeep) is Php36.00
- Ask kuya driver na lang to drop you off sa sakayan ng bus to Alabang/Cubao.

:: This trip can be done even if you only have a day and 500 pesos to spend (3-4pax)

REMINDERS
- Keep the area clean. Do not throw your basura sa falls, PLEASE LANG. Memories nyo na lang ng ex mo ang itapon mo, wag na yung basura.
- 12-18 feet ang lalim ng tubig. Please be careful. Life vests are available for rent for Php60.00. Kapit, kapatid. Ingat sa lalim ng tubig.
- Take the warning/danger signs seriously. Our tour guide told us one of his friends died there about 10 years ago, nabagsakan ng malaking bato.

*** I'LL POST THE PICS ONCE I HAVE THEM ***
