Unlike your walang kwentang ex na walang puso, Marinduque, aka The Heart of The Philippines, has fuckloads to offer for beach bummers, thrill seekers and potential candidates of Binibini at Ginoong Hugot Ng Pilipinas.
It was a little after 2:00AM when we all met at Dalahican Port in Lucena and boy we were lucky we only paid half (P130 instead of P260) the actual fare going to Marinduque! Sumakto sa promo!
It was a three hour roro ride from Dalahican to Balanacan Port. After a little kwentuhan and getting to know each other sesh, we all fell asleep sa sarap ng hangin and kalmadong dagat.
Kapit lang, baby... Malapit na tayo :) |
We reached Balacan port before 7:00AM. With undecided mind kung mag rerent kami ng Van or Jeep, we went straight to the nearest carinderia and had our breakfast. With full stomach and a body hungry for adventure, we rented a small jeep that took us to Sta. Cruz market. Its amazing how everyone was very welcoming. I don't think I noticed someone na naka simangot. Unless, nandun ang kupal mong ex, malamang buong araw kang naka simangot.

Riding on top of this jeep was amazing! Smooth road, clean and fresh air (trust me, my lungs thanked me for breathing clean air!), and awesome view. Mejo mabilis din ang takbo namin at malakas ang hangin. Yung cap ko nilipad ng hangin. We stopped to get it but decided na iwan na sya. Well, ganun talaga. May mga bagay na sadyang nile-let go natin. Sabi nga nila, letting go hurts less than holding on.
Stop over sa view deck...and kanya kanyang emo-kuno shots. San ka na, vH3h?! Dito na me!
Alas! After hours of butt-numbing jeepney ride, we finally reached Maniwaya Island. We stayed at Wawie's resort. The place was a-okay. Cottages cost Php500, Lamesa and upuan at Php300. Tents are available for rent at Php500 but if you have your own, pitching fee costs Php300.00
We had inihaw na leimpo, bicol express and rice for lunch. We spent the entire afternoon drinking emperador lights. Naglabasan ng kulit ng nakatikim ng alak! The sunset was amazing. Nakaka kalma. Nakaka relax. Nakakatanggal ng amats at pagod.
We visited Palad sandbar but the odds were not in our favor since it was high tide. We still had fun, though. Sobrang linaw ng tubig. Di tulad ng future nyo ng ex mong gago.
SPELUNKING AT BAGUMBUNGAN CAVE, BRGY. SAN ISIDRO
I lost track of time of how long did it take us to get from Maniwaya Island to Brgy San Isidro but that didn't matter since it was so worth it. First time kong mag spelunking and it didn't disappoint me. Entrance fee was Php150 per head - that's until the largest bat chamber. If you want to avail the full package, you'd have to pay Php300. We'd all love to try the Php300 spelunking tour but dahil naghahabol kami ng oras, dun kami sa hanggang bat chamber lang. Mas okay na 'to na oras ang hinahabol namin, kesa naman habulin pa ang tengeneng ex na yan.
There was a 200 meter walk (feeling ko yun ang sinabi ng tour guide. pero sabi nga nila, wag mag assume, masasaktan ka lang) to get to the entrance of the cave. Cool breeze can be instantly felt once you've reached the entrance of the cave. With nothing but headlights and lakas ng loob, we entered Bagumbungan Cave. Malalim. Madulas. Intense. But it was fun and exciting.
One of the highlights of Bagumbungan cave. Ang lamig ng tubig. Kasing lamig ng pagmamahal ng ex mo bago kayo nag break.
We spent more or less than two hours inside the cave. I'm not going to post all our the best Bagumbungan Cave pictures here. I want YOU to discover and experience it yourself. Thank you Lord as everyone got out without a scratch.
Marinduque has a lot to offer. Maniwaya Island, Palad Sandbar and Baumbungan Cave are just some of it. We ended our Marinduque adventure with a refreshing bath sa balong-malalim nila Kuya tour guide. Definitely one of the places I'd visit again!
If we were lucky sa Php130 ticket (from Dalahican Port, Lucena to Balanacan Port, Marinduque), we were even luckier to get a Php50 pesos roro ticket from on our way back! That's Php180 two-way roro ride! Oh, and did I mention we got a student discount sa bus tix too? Mapapamura ka talaga! Idamay mo na ang mag-mura sa gago mong ex na wala namang kwenta at sinaktan at niloko ka lang! Pakisabi pakyu sya ten times! BOOM!
