ROAD TRIP

Pack your things and just go. Stopover.
So I posted earlier that I want to go wanderlust-slash-soul-searching-kuno beginning next month but guess what? My libido for going out and about was on full swing a little after 2:00PM I decided to pack my things and just go. BOOM.

I'm the King of the road! EMO! </3 *credits to manong tindera ng souvenirs for taking this pic*
Deep in the forest and up in the mountains. That was what I had in mind.

I have been living in Sta. Rosa, Laguna since forever. Part of me wants to go and live somewhere but part of me wants to stay. I don’t know about you guys but this dirty south has got almost everything I want. I live just a few kembots from Enchanted Kingdom, Paseo, Nuvali, Pansol, and bus/van terminals going to Alabang, Cubao, Tagaytay and Batangas. Streetfood stalls that serve deep fried isaw, the ever so popular kwek-kwek, fishballs and all-the-balls-you-can-imagine, and our pambato ng Sta.Rosa, proben, are just a stone throw away. (I’ll share some photos soon!)

Chili Garlic! Davao's Sweet Pomelo!

Anyway, to keep this post short, I decided to go to Makiling to take a quick day hike to Peak 2 and konting sidetrip to mudspring. I can’t remember the last time I visited Mt. Makiling - it may have been more than 10 or 15 years already!
Mother Nature's mess is a piece of artwork!

I reached their registration site at around 3:30PM and was advised that cut off time to visit Peak 2 and Mudspring is 2:00PM only. FUCKER. I met other visitors and they were just as disappointed as I was - but they were kind enough to invite me to go swimming instead!

We went to one of the many hot spring resorts and had a relaxing kwentuhan and konting inuman session. Too bad I wasn’t able to get their phone numbers - or take pictures!

Even if my original plan didn’t go that well, at least I was able to experience something else - something I’d say na much better than what I expected. To be honest, first time ko mag drive sa Los Banos mag-isa. I met wonderful people and I’m sure I’d get to see them again on my next adventure.

Just like what I said on my previous post:

Lost...i think

“Pack your things. Take that long bus ride. Experience new things. Meet other people. Sacrifice a little. Let the booze kick in. Be crazy and wild. Go solo because YOLO.

Afterall, the journey is the destination”

  1. Sometimes unplanned trips turn out to be the best ones, dont they? And I've been dying to go to a hot spring resort for these old bones.
