JOMALIG ISLAND
I'm pretty sure you have already heard about Jomalig Island as it has become one of the top destinations to visit this summer. I have seen hundreds of photos on social media about this Golden Paradise.
It isn't really that far from Manila (when viewed on google maps). But from what I heard, it takes about 3 hours from Manila to get to the Port and another 4 - 5 hours from the port to get to the Island. Oh, and there's only one boat that leaves to Jomalig per day.
So 4 - 5 hours boat ride, huh? Siiiiiick.
So 4 - 5 hours boat ride, huh? Siiiiiick.
So a traveler, who I haven't met in real life yet, invited me to go to Jomalig Island this coming weekend. He said he will be with other travelers too. I know I have been going out and about alone. I have met strangers that became friends along the way and I am always up for adventure whenever I have time. But the thought of going somewhere this far with people I do not know personally is a bit of an extreme adventure already. I'll be with them from the beginning until the end of this trip. AGAIN, I DO NOT KNOW ANY OF THEM. Which makes me excited, nervous, hyped and ewan ko. Hindi ko na maintindihan. Excited na ako.
I didn't do a lot of research about Jomalig- I want Jomalig to surprise me.
I haven't filed my VL yet for this biglaang-lakad. I'll file it once I'm back at work and once it is approved, I'll get my skin ready to get kissed and burnt by the sun and have Jomalig Island surprise me for an adventure I (hopefully) won't forget!
I hope your VL gets approved so you can enjoy what the Golden Paradise of the Philippines has to offer! I see that you are travelling with other travelers you do not personally know. Its fine. But one tip for travelling solo, though. ALWAYS PUT YOURSELF FIRST. Trust your instincts. If you think things are going the wrong way, stop, think and BACK OUT if necessary. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHi, BlankNomad!

They are the same people I will be with from the beginning until the end of the journey!
